So I went down to Berkeley from Stanford, and it was quite an adventure!

First, I took the California Train (Caltrain) from Palo Alto to Millbrae. And it was a double-decker train!
Then, I took the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) from Millbrae to Downtown Berkeley! It reminded me of Roald Dahl's Bard:P And without much confusion, albeit alot of time (it took about 2 hrs), I reached UC Berkeley=)Do you know they had a T-Rex in Berkeley? Reminded me of Night of the Museum=P (Here boy! Fetch the bone!)And you guys are not going to believe this, but there is a TAN KAH KEE Building in Berkeley. Imagine my big big eyes when I saw it on the tour. The time came for the visit up the Sather Tower, their version of a clock tower. I realised that every school has some sort of tower. Seems like a symbol nowadays. There's a perfect view of the Golden Gate Bridge from there. Berkeley has a pact with the City of Berkeley that there will be no erection of buildings tall enough to hinder the amazing view.
My Favorite Building on campus. The roof looks like that in Mary Poppins!
Lunch was at Crepes A-Go-Go, upon recommendation from my friend. Their savoury crepe was pretty good, with cheese, eggs and turkey. And I had the best fresh Carrot Juice. AWESOME. made my day!Look what I saw along Telegraph Ave, their collegetown or "downtown".Then it was off on a Chocolate Adventure! The free chocolate tour was really fun, and I got to try so much chocolateeee=)Along 4th Street, which was the "other downtown", there were many quaint lil' stores. One was like a fairytale! This also happens to be my favorite place to walk. Gnome Alphabets!Miki's Paper, Handmade Japanese Paper. Seriously, Japan is the place I wanna retire in. The outskirts of course, not big city Tokyo. Imagine having Sashimi everyday! Gosh! And that concludes my Berkeley Adventure. It was full of good quality me-time, amidst this major meeting-up-with-friends winter break. How're your winter breaks going? Post them here!

Now, for a ski adventure at Lake Tahoe!

Signing out,
sheryl
